Well, maybe not tulips or tip-toeing ..... The Committee has been working hard to develop activities that appeal to the female members of the Club, and Lillie came up with an inspired idea to visit a couple of the fantastic Open Gardens in Willunga, followed by a delightful lunch at the historic Willunga Hotel. The gardens were in their best Spring form, but the weather was more reminiscent of winter. That made the warm surrounds of the Hotel, its meals and the (sometimes comedic) conversation all the more welcome ! There was talk of swapping spanners for spades, but we will see ......

The September event was a real cracker. Andrew Shouksmith (CCSA) organised a joint meeting of the Victorian and SA Citroen Clubs (plus a couple of ring-ins from Tasmania and NSW) in his home town of Naracoorte. The cross border run exercised the cars, the jaws, the arms, the belly laughs and the smiles of 61 particpants in 32 cars. Two days and three nights of non-stop entertainment and camaraderie left us all calling for more ! Plans are afoot for a repeat in 2027 ....... 

As per tradition, the Club celebrated Bastille Day with a French themed dinner, this year at the Robin Hood Hotel. Some also came dressed to suit ......

Our June run was to the always excellent Birdwood Motor Museum. Crisp winter day, lovely run up through the hills, and fantastic hospitality by the Birdwood staff. Its a great display of motoring in all its dimensions - something for everyone - highy recommended !! 

Cit-In is an annual meeting of the various Citroen Car Clubs across Australia.  Its held every year, around April - May.  This year's Cit-In was scheduled to be in Western Australia in mid - May, but has been cancelled due to fuel supply uncertainities arising from the current unsettling global events.  This has met with considerable disappointment within our Club, as many members were planning to attend what is always a great event.  However, discretion the better part of valour ....   

Hopefully Cit-In 2027 will proceed and provide some compensation.  It is scheduled to be at Mittagong in the NSW Southern Highlands from 30th April to 3rd May; email citin2027@citroencarclub.org.au for further details

CCSA held another of its technical days in early March, focussing on replacing the DS steering rack.  Increasingly, the now 50 + year old DS steering racks are developing both internal and external hydraulic leaks.  They need to be removed, refurbished and replaced.  Not for the faint-hearted, but with a knowledgeable technical team and plenty of goodwill, anything is possible !  

A special cheers last Sunday to former President, Greg Moorhouse, on the annual Greg Moorhouse Memorial Run to the Macclesfield Hotel. The Club has also instigated the Greg Moorhouse Trophy, awarded annually to a Club member that best exemplifies Greg's enthusiasm and spirit in contibuting to the life of the Club.
