Club Citroen South Australia

This is the home page of the longest established and largest Citroën club in South Australia – dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and above all else, the appreciation and enjoyment of all Citroën vehicles – any model, any age, old or new.

The Club has approximately 80 members. Members and visitors attend monthly meetings, held at 8.00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month (except January) at the "Lounge", City of Burnside Civic Centre. Meetings include regular guest speakers and illustrated presentations, technical and social presentations, and a good deal of 'bonhomie'. In addition to holding monthly meetings, Club members participate in regular Club runs, technical afternoons and social events.

A beneficial service to owners of vehicles manufactured prior to 1979 is the Club's assistance with the SA Conditional Registration Scheme for Historic, Prescribed Left Hand Drive and Street Rod Vehicles.

The Club is pleased to assist with any enquiry – in the first instance via the Club Secretary: secretary@clubcitroensa.org.au.

Visitors and new members are always welcome…simply come along to one of our meetings or runs and introduce yourself!

Club members have recently returned from The Desert RAID 2024, an outback odyssey for 2CVs.  Travelling as Team Baudin, 7 cars including two French couples completed the trip from Adelaide to Brookton (WA) before heading off along the Great Central Road to Uluru, then via Coober Pedy, the Oodnadatta and Birdsville to Central Queensland, finishing at Gayndah near Bundaberg.  Then we drove home via the Darling River through the Riverland to Adelaide.  11,000 km, including some pretty rough roads, 6 weeks, no problems !  Quelle adventure !!  See https://www.facebook.com/clubcitroensa for more.

An absolutely stunning autumn day in McLaren Vale - a perfect backdrop for the 2023 Vintage and Classic car show. Around 500 cars paraded down the Main street in a mobile motor show that spanned the history of motoring.  Hundreds more lined the route. CCSA was well represented, spending the afternoon at Maxwells Winery, catching up and kicking tyres. Nirvana !!

17-20th March, Murray Bridge, 170 Citroeniste and their cars .... all the ingredients for a great 2023 National Citroen Annual Rally.  Excellent venue, great show and shine, a manic motokhana, precision parking and a visit to the African veld (aka Monarto zoo).  Lots of good food and wine,  and even better company.  Congrats to all involved.  A full report can be found here.

Tony Conroy was very keen to get the Club out in their cars, so he organised an unoffical 'run' in January, ahead of the 'official' start to Club activities in February.  A large contingent of Club members had brunch at La Crema coffee emporium, inspected the hi-tech Tonsley Park development and finished with a cruise to the seaside.

CCSA's Xmas Dinner at the Petanque Club was a great success.  An excellent turnout, great food and a very generous spirit prevailed.  The Club raised $502 for the Hutt Street Centre, plus several bags groaning with goodies.  it was a warm and fuzzy end to 2022 !!

A rather damp run to Ashbourne via the beautiful if very wet Adelaide Hills today for a club run to the Green Man Pub. 19 members made the run, dominated by 5 x 2cv’s, 2 x D’s , a Traction Avant, C4 and a DS CrossBack.
